Strength is not in simply bearing the pain

Strength is not in strong outpourings with disdain

Real strength lies in patience beyond compare

Only God by your side and a world to dare

Patience is not in simply suffering injustices

Patience is not keeping quiet against prejudices

Real patience lies in your duty to do the right thing

Only God by your side and David’s sling

Duty is not in simply doing what is told

Duty is not remaining meek and refraining bold

Real duty lies in ability to defend your integrities

Only God by your side and constrained agilities

Integrity is not in simply radiating attitude

Integrity is not in choosing artless latitude

Real integrity lies in the balancing of obligations

Only God by your side and no compensations

Attitude is not in simply cherry-picking a side

Attitude is not reflected in power prominence or pride

Real attitude lies in the aptitude to remain humble

Only God by your side and obstacles for to stumble

Humility is not in simply deeming you are unpretentious

Humility is not in crediting your own goodness

Real humility lies in your actions and how your treat others

Only God by your side and the ego still bothers

Goodness is not in simply bestowing wealth as a favour

Goodness is not broadcasting your virtues to the sphere

Real goodness lies in soundless endeavor

Only God on your side and humbled by His power

My God and me

God is not checking your bank balance

He is checking your faith

He does not give you dreams that match your budget

He is asking you to wait

Time has its own mind and carefully reveals each plan

Faith has its own strength when God is testing man

God is not giving you what you want always

He is giving you what you need

He does not lay constraint on any of your choices

He has simply sown the seed

Freedom has its own caveat and includes culpability

The seed inside you must be nourished into a Mind tree

God is not asking you to be afraid and cower

He is unfolding your intention

His openhandedness knows no boundary

He is seeking your attention

Love has this infinite power to live faultlessly

Love not fear is the key to attain entirety

God is not wanting you to try harder

He is asking you to trust deeper

He sustains a blue dot moving around a ball of fire

He need not give proof to a believer

The miracle of life itself can show you the way

The biggest gift of all is the ability to pray

God is not telling you to be perfect

He is perfectly aware of your every flaw

He gives and forgives nonetheless

And if that does not instill humility and awe

Then His omniscience is not for you

His omnipresence is for the unquestioning few

Thank you God

If our earth was just a little away from the sun…

Too hot, too cold whatever be it, life would not be fun.

If lush green lawns were of any other color…

Too dry, too wry, moods would certainly be duller.

If flowers did not open to such psychedelic bloom…

Too listless, too lovelorn, there would descend a gloom.

If there were no birds in their vibrant splendor…

Too silent, too harsh, we’d never learn to be tender.

If four legged creatures never walked the wide world…

Too tame, too lame, we’d be in an imbalanced swirl.

If we were not thirsty, if there was no water…

Too blue, too bland, we’d not survive a quarter.

If land was not land and sea was not sea…

Too hapless, too helpless, just where would we be?

If there was at the poles, no formation of ice…

Too warm, too wintry, Al Gore’s speeches would not suffice.

If each note, each strain was not in such perfect refrain…

Too lackadaisical, too lazy, there’d be no pain – no gain!

If there was no God to weave mindboggling magic…

Too pessimistic, too atheist, life would have been tragic.

If you choose to grumble, if you choose to cry…

Too hurried, too stressed, life will quietly pass by.

If you choose to say ‘thank you God’, you do not realize…

How swiftly, how softly, how paradoxically, happiness multiplies.

Armed with attitude, you may select your latitude…

Too rough, too tough, however you reflect, just voice your gratitude!
