The pilot

A little more time a few more conversations

Cozied up in a corner with coffee for salvation

Memories to cherish aches and pains to sieve

Why do you have to leave

 

Failures which turned into experiences

Friends who betrayed and became references

Together we can count what to keep and what to give

Why do you have to leave

 

Every little blessing often received without asking

So many things to stay thankful for in which we are basking

Looking ahead and looking forward for much more to receive

Together we are strength happiness and laughter

Sunrays are less harsh starry nights are so much softer

By myself I am incapable to achieve

Why do you have to leave

 

I never left your side He said in a quiet baritone

You were feeling lonely I never left you alone

I simply let you be to blossom and bloom

I was in your laughter and content I was in your gloom

That little voice despite the noise each brownie point for fairness

I was your gut your heart your soul and in your awareness

If you practice gratitude even when you grieve

I never have to leave

Learning lessons

 

Words are noise if they don’t have meaning

Attitudes are blocks if they don’t have understanding

Actions are hollow if they don’t have compassion

Breath is without purpose if it does not have passion

 

Tune in to your self and then fine tune the sharpness

Slowly pick up faraway signals and learn to harness

Listen with the heart and see with the soul

Fragments of emotions need to mend as a whole

 

Keep ears to the ground where feet tread softly

Keep hand on the heart and prejudge people gently

Brave fronts contradict the deep gashes concealed

Long conversations into the night reveal veneers peeled

 

Don’t keep tripping over your ego it can hurt

Keep sullenness at bay and annoyances curt

Let genuineness seep so deep into your psyche

Let prudence be your pilot to rear the Mindtree

 

A place where moods don’t swing wildly and affect

A peace where judgments don’t instill fear and impact

I am learning how to create a world full of justices

I am integrating all the seasons colors and solstices

Anticipation

Today I might not be able to achieve my dreams

Today I might find myself tired and breaking at the seams

This is not the be all and end all of it

Hope will repair the conundrum bit by bit

Tomorrow I will get up and get back to work

My dreams are not for giving up and I will not shirk

 

Today I might not be able to change your opinion

Today I might not be able to convince you I am genuine

This does not mean I am bound by your judgement

I must remain true to myself and resolve the predicament

Tomorrow I will prove my worth and authenticity

My character cannot be compromised for complicity

 

Today I might not be able to put my best foot forward

Today I might not be able to flaunt attitude or be heard

This does not mean I am underprepared

I am simply being careful evaluating how I fared

Tomorrow I will learn from previous experiences

My attitude will take shape sharpening nuances

 

Today I might not look accomplished and clever

Today I might not be able to please everyone forever

This does not mean that I lack the skill

I will choose the option of being compliant at will

Tomorrow I will grow mature and wise

My wisdom will then lead me to flourish and rise

 

Today I might not be able to do a lot of things

Today I might not be able to grow my wings

This does not mean I cannot soar

I have courage to continue and faith at the core

Tomorrow I will become what I started out to be

Tomorrow will come I know. When did I say it was easy

if you could remove one habit from your routine

if you could identify a fault then work on going lean

what would it be could you nail it honestly

will false pride create obstacles in your journey

 

if you could remove one chapter from your experiences

if you could reread and rewrite it altering nuances

which one would it be the ‘why’ behind it can you see

could you afford the skill set choices don’t come for free

 

if you could remove one person from your acquaintances

if you could detect the real reason without giving defenses

who would it be would your judgement be shadowy

could you resist playing God for handing out the decree

 

if you could remove one want from your list of desires

if you could live without the extra trappings you consider so dire

why would it be would it disturb the mind tree

could you thwart the need for more is greed control the key

 

if you could remove one complaint from all your disgruntlement

if you could determine what it takes to articulate contentment

how would you be able to draw the line of satisfaction

could you stop comparing your life steering it with proper traction

 

if you could remove one tear from another’s eye

if you could be the reason for bringing on their smile

when you raise your standard of living would you raise your standard of giving

could you shun judging people and simply practice forgiving

People are never ordinary.

Given a chance everyone has an unfinished tale to tell

Stay humble and learn to listen

Some hurts and anxieties may ring a familiar bell

 

There are those who reach out to others

Born to touch your soul

Stay keen and learn to spot them

Kindness is contagious it could define your role

 

Some people win your trust.

Genuine emotion does not need loudspeakers

Stay attentive and learn to verify

Authenticity reminds you ultimately God is your keeper

 

Some people pretend well.

They know how to say what you want to hear

Stay focused and learn to decipher

You may be holding onto them out of fear

 

Some  people are honest still noble folks can also falter

Callous streaks in some may have an irreparable background

Stay fair and learn not to judge

Hastily made judgements often come back to hound

 

Some people come with a warning. Never argue with an idiot.

People watching won’t be able to tell the difference

Stay calm and learn to walk away

Just keep those words in mind for future reference

 

People are never ordinary

Pushed in a corner they will acclimatize to survive

Stay alert and learn the rules of the jungle

Histories are repeated dead stories can revive

My God and me

God is not checking your bank balance

He is checking your faith

He does not give you dreams that match your budget

He is asking you to wait

Time has its own mind and carefully reveals each plan

Faith has its own strength when God is testing man

 

God is not giving you what you want always

He is giving you what you need

He does not lay constraint on any of your choices

He has simply sown the seed

Freedom has its own caveat and includes culpability

The seed inside you must be nourished into a Mind tree

 

God is not asking you to be afraid and cower

He is unfolding your intention

His openhandedness knows no boundary

He is seeking your attention

Love has this infinite power to live faultlessly

Love not fear is the key to attain entirety

 

God is not wanting you to try harder

He is asking you to trust deeper

He sustains a blue dot moving around a ball of fire

He need not give proof to a believer

The miracle of life itself can show you the way

The biggest gift of all is the ability to pray

 

God is not telling you to be perfect

He is perfectly aware of your every flaw

He gives and forgives nonetheless

And if that does not instill humility and awe

Then His omniscience is not for you

His omnipresence is for the unquestioning few

If the world is full of suffering

It is also full of overcoming it

Not all storms come to disrupt life

Some clear the path and make it fit

Into your maze when time is right

The end of the tunnel is always lit

 

If the world is full of negativity

It is also full of inspirations

Comebacks are stronger than setbacks

At the cost of your perspirations

You owe yourself a better life

Follow your dreams and aspirations

 

If the world is full of consequences

It is also full of choices to nurture

Life like nature has course and sequence

Practice hard on your signature

Do not give your past the power

To define and tame your future

 

If the world is full of injustices

It is also full of kindheartedness

Just look beyond your judgement of others

The world rotates on the largesse

Of a few who know kindness has no cost

Yet has immense value – an idea suffused in finesse

 

If the world is full of wrong intentions

It is also full of renaissances

We have brushed off the dust to get up again

We are a race with resiliencies

The impostors may look like winning the loot

Help is just a prayer away goodness is at imminences

Expressions

So that I can express what is deep down in my heart

I use words as crutches I admit it’s a slow start

But they are a big help when feelings are fragmented

A sense of semblance to sentiments is then warranted

They give my mind a set of wings slowly I learn to fly

Who knows I might get proficient with verses by and by

 

So that I can express what is embedded in my mind

I use rhyming sentences I agree they are color blind

But they are a big help when grey moods rule the skies

Sometimes they speak dark truths sometimes white lies

They give my space an added zing the color of escapes

Who knows I might learn to chill with brand new capes

 

So that I can express what is engraved in my soul

I use lofty perceptions I know it takes a toll

But they are a big help when the trajectory is blurred

They instill hope and courage so I am not deterred

They give my spirit the Zen I need my search continues

Who knows I might add to my person more meaningful hues

 

So that I can express what is intuited by my senses

I use repeat reviews I guess through psychedelic lenses

But they are a big help when I need to decode life

I seek solace in my shell retreating when I face strife

They give my gut validation I no longer depend on others

Who knows I might conquer my qualms to castoff all which bothers

 

So that I can express what is patterned by my deepest fears

I use arguments as shields I think until the conversation veers

But they are a big help when I cannot alter circumstances

An amalgam of anxieties and advices give my character nuances

Learning of other viewpoints and then learning to acknowledge

Who knows I might be able to gift myself a winning edge

Allowed

Apprehensions are allowed pessimism is not

Life is not as stress-free and simple as you sought

Yet every breath you take is irreplaceable

Thank your stars and your God that you are able

 

Ambition is allowed greediness is not

Stockpiling is not about how much you have bought

If emotions are gathering dust in the corner of the heart

You need to revisit your ambitions and chart a new start

 

Aches and pains are allowed wallowing in it is not

Every situation in life has a shelf life distributed in lot

So take your moods in your stride and renew the beam

Ups and downs enrich the road they make a good team

 

Affection is allowed affectation is not

So many myriad sentiments in which the heart is caught

Lower your expectations slow the pace and let others in

The greatest passions are those that outlive the din

 

Attitude is allowed arrogance is not

Swallow false pride imbibe the lessons life has taught

Carve your character with honest intentions and integrity

Success entails guts and temerity handling it needs maturity
