This is the age of speed and a little bit of greed
It’s a paradox of personalities it’s another breed
Generation next bestows a whole new meaning
To the very idea of ‘being freed’
Profligate yet prudent their needs are simplistic
Do not assume the obvious they are not materialistic
Just seemingly inane a thing like internet connectivity
Can drive some of the species unreservedly ballistic
Good at heart smart in the head with aspiration and desire
The youth of the day are caught in quite a quagmire
Oscillating between calm content and sheer ambition
They tread the thin rope of revolution in the line of fire
