This is a rough draft

All plans have to be in the mind first
Before they are drawn up and final
All planning has to be visualised
Before execution that’s vital

So every line I write today
Was actually born in wilderness of thought
And every thought I pen down
Was carefully crafted and sought

Rambling on paper is just not enough
Voicing your intent is half the work done
But the other half remains omnipotent
Unplanned it can take away the fun
What the world sees is not the effort
What the world feels is not what you went through
People they want results clean and cleansed
Procuring the very blanket you withdrew

Words cut across veneers of security
There is need to be correct, careful and controlled
Rattled minds often over react
Tact still needs to sugar coat statements bold

That’s why the necessity to draw up
A rough draft each and every time
You can composedly learn, relearn and realise
Errors to amend moving onto the sublime

There are times I feel we are ourselves
In the midst of some sort of a rough draft
Some power above is trying to train us
Before we move on to the final shaft

As a race we are so raw
So confused between right and wrong
Collectively we’d get a poor score
We don’t even know we belong

How does one polish up the act?
How to acquire that air of finality
A rough draft so daft as it were
How to differentiate forged reality?

Seek what you must and love what you seek
Knowledge is the light and love is the way
Even a minute spent in thought is well spent
Once in a lifetime, year, month, week or day
